Committed to AST Fall Protection

You may have noticed in our Safety: Associated with General Sitework commitments that our individual personnel are furnished with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that is not for sharing but is individually assigned.

Nowhere is this company policy more relevant than with AST testing work. Individuals working on AST systems testing crews are not barrowing someone else’s Fall Safety Full Body Harness.

We have developed methods of providing Anchor Points for Personal Fall Arrest Systems (PFAS) related to both Vertical and Horizontal oriented Aboveground Storage Tanks. If a suitable Anchor Point is not already provided on the AST System, we have the skill to adapt a mobile articulating Boom Lift of sufficient load capacity for this Anchor Point System.

Our PFAS includes the Full Body Harness (no Belts) as well as a Self Retracting Device (SRD) lanyard. We had fabricated vertical steel pipe posts from National Pipe Thread Fittings of common AST bung sizes. This allows the erection of a suitable guard rail height wire rope slide to allow PFAS attachment. We can both traverse along the top of the AST as well as perform tasks with fall protection.
